Hello @douellet, I have sent this to the development team for review. We should add a decimal to provide more accurate numbers. Thanks for your feedback!
March 13, 2021 at 10:23 pm in reply to: Shouldn’t my Main panel be showing negative? #7146 Report AbuseEmporia SupportEmporia StaffHello @HenryH can please reach out to our support team? We can check the install of your Vue remotely and confirm if the installation is correct and if it isn’t how to correct. I see you mentioned you already reached out for help on ‘resetting the device’ below you will see how to remove the historical data.
The Main Usage is your net usage, total usage is what the home is consuming from both solar and utility. I think based on your balance there is an issue with the installation and/or the configuration of the device.
Again, please reach out to us to correct.
Emporia SupportEmporia StaffHello @chavelka Love to hear how you are using our Vue to monitor your crypto mining farm…very cool! The multiplier does not impact Amperage as amperage on a dual breaker is not additive. However, the AMPs should be displayed correctly if the watts are as well. Can you please provide a screenshot or reach out to our support team so we can look at this situation in more detail?

Emporia SupportEmporia StaffHello @elemenoh, the 50A sensors on the Gen 2 can read loads upto 75A, you you can use this on your EV charger breaker.
Our sensors have physical limitations. Each 200A sensor is accurate with high resolution between 0.04A – 250A (5W – 30kW) And each 50A sensor is accurate with high resolution between 0.04A – 75A (5W – 9000W). When you go below those ranges, the sensors will report about 0W. When you exceed those ranges the sensors will reach saturation and not report anything higher. Going above the sensors range does not cause any risk of damage to the Vue or the sensors.
Please let us know if you have any further questions.

March 13, 2021 at 10:05 pm in reply to: Allow simple automation, e.g. turn on a plug if another circuit draws above/belo #7141 Report AbuseEmporia SupportEmporia StaffHello @currentdraw, thanks for the feedback! We are working on several enhancements related to IFTTT, integrations and additional features on plugs such as alerts. We will get these updates out just as soon as possible.

Emporia SupportEmporia StaffHello @bearalypse Please keep in mind total usage is calculated off your solar usage and Main usage(net metering). Increasing the value of your solar generation will have a direct and linear impact to your total usage since this is looking at your net metering usage..which is not changing so total usage goes up.
Please reach out to our support team if you would like to discuss further.

Emporia SupportEmporia StaffHello @dbeam16 we are still working on trying to resolve this issue. It has proven to be more difficult that we originally had thought. The Amps are reported correctly the expansion circuits when using the app multiplier. However, when it comes to the mains, at the Amp measurement we are trying to figure out how to properly identify ALL dual pole circuits so when those are energized the app/software will know to calculate amps correctly.
Another option we are pursuing is showing amps on each phase, while this will not resolve the issue at hand, it will show customers the amperage on each leg of the panel.
We really appreciate your feedback and hope you understand we are working as fast and hard as we can to resolve this issue.

I’m not aware of this restriction but we certainly will look into this and let you know what we find out.

Emporia SupportEmporia Staff@waterboyz I have sent this to our web developer to see if we can have this changed so it only show minimized to a ‘little bubble’ and remain minimized when moving to other screens.

March 3, 2021 at 4:35 pm in reply to: Graph of Total Usage (with Solar Net Metering) #7088 Report AbuseEmporia SupportEmporia StaffHello @larryboy this is great feedback! Currently the total usage is not available to be graphed and I have added this as request. I’m sure many customers like yourself would like this so we will definitely do our best to get this released just as soon as possible.
Thanks so much for your feedback and please let us know if you have any further feedback on how to improve the user interface.

March 3, 2021 at 4:24 pm in reply to: Renaming ‘Main’ (200A) and changing the Balance calculation #7087 Report AbuseEmporia SupportEmporia StaffHello @Euroboy thanks for your feedback on the ability to change the name on the main sensors, I have submitted that to the team. We are working on the ability to combine Vue’s as well as sensors, and we can look into maybe offering a different way to calculate ballance, or create a new category for customers like yourself.
Please let us know if you have any other questions or ideas!
Thanks! Adam
Emporia SupportEmporia Staffhello @kkl yes the sensors can be extended with common audio cables, the 50A sensors are 2.5 mm and the 200A sensors are 3.5 mm. We don’t recommend extending beyond 30ft.

If you plugs are going solid Red light that means they are connected to the internet but toggled off, if yo have to do a WiFi reset then there could be something wrong with the plug? If you could please reach out to our support team and provide your email that the plugs are registered under we can investigate further.
We will replace any defective units immediately.

Emporia SupportEmporia StaffGood Afternoon @smithsrsn, thanks for taking the time to provide these recommendations for the app enhancements related to capturing maximum levels reached by specific circuits. Having dealt with this personally – circuit getting overloaded – this is a great idea and I have shared with the development team.
